Disjointed

Today is my mother's birthday, so I called her this morning and chatted a bit. My father's company is on strike, which is problematic for them as it cuts his pay to only a bit more than a third of what he was making. My mother's factory recently closed, so my father's income is providing for them solely. Hopefully the strike resolves soon and his plant does not move to Mexico, as my parents fear. Luckily for them, they have few bills or expenses and know quite well how to budget.

Tomorrow I have to take the pet to the vet for her surgery. I am a bit nervous, but it is a fairly simple procedure. There should not be any complications. Regardless, I am a bit nervous about it. I am not letting my anxiety get out of control, however. Many people say I am too hard on myself, and that may be true, but I feel that I have to work hard to keep my emotions from getting out of control. I am a very self-disciplined person.

I am making mini meat turnovers for dinner tonight, so there will be a blog update in a couple of hours. Enjoy!
