Last night's entertaining was fantastic. They truly are a wonderful couple, and I am glad we are getting to know them. They will be departing to graduate school (probably across the country) in the fall, however, so the entertaining will be short-lived. Alas, we will enjoy it while we can.
The food turned out splendidly. It was spicy but sweet, a combination I am always fond of. It had a very Cajun feel to it, which I appreciated. My pumpkin fudge also went well at the office, apparently, as there is very little left. Hopefully our friends will finish that off tonight.
I have a very busy week ahead of me. Here it is, all broken down:
Today: A cousin is coming into town in an hour so we can catch up on each other's busy lives, and this evening we have our weekly gaming crew coming over.
Tomorrow: Grocery shopping and hopefully eating at the Mongolian restaurant.
Monday: My mother is coming into town. I need to buy a springform pan to make a couple cheesecakes.
Tuesday: It is my only free day, so I will spend it cleaning.
Wednesday: Another cousin and I are going to a movie, and I have to make pumpkin fudge for the following day.
Thursday: Walter's paternal Thanksgiving, and my maternal. We must skip my maternal since they are at the same time and an hour apart, and we heard of his first.
Friday: I have to make a chocolate turtle cheesecake for Saturday and a white chocolate pumpkin one for Sunday.
Saturday: Walter's maternal Thanksgiving.
Sunday: My paternal Thanksgiving and possibly grocery shopping.
What a busy week! I am already tired, just looking at the schedule.
I must go now and do the dishes before my cousin arrives.
