Weekend

I am mildly sore today, sore enough not to work out. I imagine that much of it comes from all of the walking I did yesterday. Walter received a call for a social gathering with some co-workers, but due to low attendance, it was cancelled. He did invite a co-worker to partake in our weekly game night, however. This is fine, but the coworker has never been here before, so I had to scramble to clean the house. Luckily it was already mostly clean, so it took little effort. I do regret not having the ingredients to whip up some sort of baked good for him, but with my joints aching I am not sure I will be able to. I could perhaps throw together some cupcakes and bring the leftovers to lunch. I do have a frozen pie I could cook, but it is small and wouldn't feed everyone sufficiently. Alas, I fail as a housewife today. Bobbie says I should make oatmeal raisin cookies. Walter would be quite pleased with this, but many of our friends do not like oatmeal raisin, so perhaps I will go another way. I am thinking yellow cupcakes with chocolate icing.

My mother gave me a delightful hanging skeleton made out of old milk jugs. I hung him on my porch to greet visitors. It's a fantastic piece, and I am quite proud of it. :)
