Cupcakes

I decided to make yellow cupcakes with chocolate icing. They turned out marvelously! I purchased an icing piping kit yesterday, and it made icing them much easier and more fun! They're quite lovely, even if many of them do have Halloween liners. I ran out of white. I used a box mix, which is not necessarily something to brag about, but the box mixes are dairy-free, unlike scratch. The Pilsbury chocolate icing is also dairy-free, so these cupcakes are for myself as well as for the guests. :)

I forgot to mention earlier that our previously ailing pet is back to her normal self now. It seems that she had some food lodged in her throat that took her nearly twelve hours to dislodge (because she is an exotic, the emergency vets would not see her, so we had to wait until the vets opened yesterday morning to get her in), but as soon as it got out, she started recovering quickly. I am giving her antibiotics a bit to help with her raw throat, but she is doing much better now.
