Music

Today I have to tear apart the closet in the guest room to try and find our tax papers (I am kicking myself for not remembering where they are), so I thought I'd burn a CD to have some music while I do it. It is a 50s compilation CD. Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry, a few other various artists (and a few songs from the Fallout 3 soundtrack, but in my defense, they are authentic songs from the 50s). Music from this era is so uplifting, even when many topics they sang about were unhappy.

Since our guest didn't leave until yesterday evening, we did not do our grocery shopping. Since Walter enjoys going with me, we do this chore together, so we will do it tonight when he returns from work. We will probably eat fast food for dinner, then. I don't expect to update my food blog until Friday, when I make spicy sausage penne. Everything else on the menu this week is old news--spaghetti, tacos, marinaded chicken. Nothing worth noting at all.

I do need to pull together my menu for the Thanksgiving dinners. I know I am doing desserts, but I have no idea what they will be. I only have a week and a half to decide!
