Botch?

Well, it seems that pumpkin pie fudge and I just do not get along. This time, I remembered the marshmallow creme, but I forgot to add the butter until after I had removed it from heat and was stirring in everything else. I went ahead and added it then (it was to be added melted anyway), hoping it would still work out...I also misread the recipe and added two and a half tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice instead of two and a half teaspoons, but I have tasted it, and it tastes fine to me (maybe even better, as it is more cinnamon-y). I finished it roughly 20 minutes ago. It is in the fridge setting at the moment, so I will know in a couple of hours if I was successful. If not, I will have to make it again tonight, as Walter's office's dinner is tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers. If it were regular cooking, I would not be concerned, but with baking and candy-making, things always have to be so PRECISE that I am wondering if it will be okay. Only time will tell...
