Walter is off work today and tomorrow. He took off so he could play a new video game and because he was sitting on some paid time off that wouldn't roll over, so why not? It has made me somewhat lazy, but I managed to do the dishes and fold the laundry before vegging out. I am pretty heavily medicated at the moment anyway because of my arthritis, so even if I were home alone, I probably wouldn't be accomplishing much. My hand braces are helping with the swelling, and the muscle tone I've recently built in my legs has helped my knees from hurting so badly. Of course, my hips and back are still horrible, and I am not sure how to fix those without a big, cumbersome back brace. So, I have spent the day lounging. Last night when we purchased Walter's game, I purchased Cooking Mama 2 for my Nintendo DS. All sorts of new dishes for me to "cook!" I have been playing that all day and pretending that I'm cooking for real.
I am making Cajun chicken breasts for dinner tonight. Prepare for a blog update. Hopefully a prettier one than last night. Meatloaf may be delicious, but it looks similar to owl pellets.
